Trust is earned, not generally accepted through propaganda. Many folks have been fleeced by those who "protect and serve", over bullshit like burned out tail lights and expired inspection stickers. Or bogus tickets for things they didn't do. Add in the countless stories like the one you linked to, and it's not hard to develop distrust of "authority". As David Codrea points out almost daily, the "only ones" aren't quite as worthy of sainthood as they're made out to be....

As the Unconstitutional, Draconian laws keep passing through Washington...being a Cop becomes more dangerous with every stroke of Barry's pen!
ReplyDeleteSoon (like as we speak) the good Cops will be getting out. Whether that be just common sense or a true honor to their oath. It would leave only the "bad cops"!
The Jackasses writing these laws care no more about the officers who may put their lives on the line (to enforce their tyranny) than they do for the people they intend to oppress with them.
As a result the respect for police officers has been in decline for some time now.
May God bless the officers who know it's time to get out or refuse Unlawful orders.
God forbid a good cop's badge become but a bullseye for those "rightfully" fighting for their freedom!
I say to "good cops" everywhere...stand up, keep your oath to our Constitution or resign!
It's gonna get ugly and I'd like to see the good guys win.....
