Today marks the day that Terrorism came to America.I will not get in to my personal feelings on Islam and such other than to say there are crazies in every group.We have the right to feel anger and hate for those who would slaughter innocent people! And I do! But I think if you are the sort to pray on occasion,today would be a great time to say a prayer for those who lost family and or friends in the attacks.The deceased's problems are over but those who lost people will need prayers now.And the responders who are suffering all sorts of problems from toxic dust etc.You people who rushed to the collapsing burning buildings are genuine heroes and I applaud you all!

May 4, 1886: Haymarket affair—Anarchists at Haymarket Square in Chicago detonate a bomb during a labor rally
1915, July 2: Frank Holt (aka. Eric Muenter), a German professor who wanted to stop American support of the Allies in World War I, exploded a bomb in the reception room of the U.S. Senate. The next morning he tried to assassinate J.P. Morgan, Jr.
1916 July 22: The Preparedness Day bombing kills ten people and injures 40 in San Francisco. Anarchist-communists are suspected including Luigi Galleani, Alexander Berkman, Mario Buda with probable support from Emma Goldman.
1917, November 24: An Anarchists bombing of a Milwaukee police station, killing nine officers and a civilian.
The 1919 United States anarchist bombings: Over 38 attempted bombings including mail bombs injured over 20 people and killed three people including one of the bombers.
1920 Wall Street bombing: Galleanist anarchist-communists set off a wagon bomb on September 16, 1920, in the Financial District of New York City. The wagon was packed with 100 pounds of dynamite and 500 pounds of cast-iron sash weights and exploded in a timer-set detonation the blast killed 38 and seriously injured 143.
1950 November 1: Assassination attempt on President Harry S. Truman by members of the Puerto Rican Nationalist Party at the Blair House in Washington, D.C.
1954 March 1: United States Capitol shooting incident. Four Puerto Rican nationalists shoot and wound five members of the United States Congress.
1969 October 14 The Fuerzas Armadas de Liberación Nacional (FALN), a Puerto Rican nationalist group, claims responsibility for a small bomb explosion at Macy's Herald Square.
1973 March 4: A failed attack by Palestinian "Black September", with car bombings in New York City.
1975 January 24: FALN bombs Fraunces Tavern in New York City, killing four and injuring more than 50.
1975 December 29: A bomb set off by FALN in East Harlem, New York
1975 December 29: A bomb at New York's LaGuardia Airport kills 11 and injures 75. (No group took responsibility as it appears the bomb went off unscheduled - FALN, JDL, PLO and Croatian radical Busic prime suspects).
1976 September 11: Croatian terrorists hijack a TWA flight. One police officer was killed and three injured during an attempt to defuse a bomb planted in a New York City train station locker (see Busic above).
1976 September 21: Car bomb assassination in Washington, D.C. two die from this attack by the paid CIA asset the Chilean DINA.
1977 August 3: FALN bombs explode and kill one person with bombs at the United States Department of Defense office and the Mobil Building in New York City.
May 3, 1979: FALN exploded a bomb outside of the Shubert Theatre in Chicago, injuring five people.
1980 March 15 Armed members of FALN raided the campaign headquarters of President Jimmy Carter in Chicago and the campaign headquarters of George H. W. Bush in New York City.
1980 June 3: Bombing of the Statue of Liberty by Croatian radicals.
I have added a longer list on my blog - sometimes what we don't know is illuminating. (I was unaware of the extent of attacks until I looked them up). The list does not include "domestic centered attacks".

It took me by surprise and just who and when was shocking.
ReplyDeleteI was unaware some of the Leftist "saints" were on the list of what we now call "terrorists". Emma Goldman is one of the leftist "saints" and dang if she was not just a bloodthirsty harpy (I looked it up).
