Olympic Arms AR-15

Local shop has olympic ar's on sale $599 Is anyone familiar with this brand.Good or junk ,ok starting point to customize.I'm not huge fan of Ar's but so common,could be wise to have one anyway.

    A friend of mine used to own one of these by OLYARMS as he called it . It functioned fine in my opinion but, he has bought a cheaper (less expensive) version and one of the drawbacks was that with the less expensive models, they will not accept any factory custom and very few after-market accessories .

    He sold it due to it's inability to accept customized,aftermarket parts.The more expensive models DO accept custom/modified parts. I liked the way it fired , cycled rounds and it was comfortable to shoot. It was light weight and felt much like an M-16 A2 .

    If you are going to buy this just to have it , it's not a bad rifle at all . If you are planning to modify it , you may want to ask the people who are selling it to you if it is customizable or not, before buying it .

    Like I said, this was a friend of mine who owned this , I have no other experience with this particular brand of weapon . Great price though as I have never seen one of these for less than around $725.00.
